For your very special day Solar PV Renewable Energy System
Based in Cumbria, Blue Flame is an MCS accredited installer of the advanced Solar Photovoltaic (PV) System.
Why should you consider installing a Solar PV System?
This Renewable Energy System has been widely accepted as the best investment opportunity available at this current time. This was amply demonstrated in the recent Dragons Den programme where it was stated that if you had the money to invest in this system.
Take it out of the bank, install 14 to 16 panels on your roof and receive a return on investment of around 10%. You won’t get that anywhere else at the moment
You will benefit from the Government backed feed in tariff scheme that could generate you a TAX FREE annual income of around £1000 and index linked for the next 25 years.
- You get paid 21p for every unit generated by your system.
- Any electricity that you generate and use in your own home is FREE OF CHARGE saving you on average 13p per unit.
- You get paid an extra 3p for each unit you do not use and export back to the National Grid.
Installing this system will give you a guaranteed 25yr income
- It will reduce your electricity bill & lessen the impact of future electricity price increases.
- It will increase the value of your property.
- There are no moving parts, so virtually maintenance free.
- It only requires daylight, so will work all year round, even when cloudy.
- It will reduce your carbon footprint & help reduce global warming.
Not all Photovoltaic Panels are the same.
Just to make you aware, not all the photovoltaic panels available on the market are the same. There are loses with all/most systems, it's just to what degree of loss. There are also loses from cables and inverters. Plus cheap inverters will lose more energy and not last.
There are thousands of Solar Photovoltaic Panels available. Some only produce energy at 80% which means for a 4 kWh system you will only actually get 3.20 kWh maximum. So although on the surface while there can appear to be cheaper installations you are not always getting what you think you have paid for.
Blue Flame Solar have sourced the most cost effective panels available to give you maximum benefit from your investment. The panels include a multi diode system which minimises any loss of performance due to partial shading as opposed to a single diode panel where the loss is more extreme. They are also coated to prevent salt mist corrosion
How do they Work
Solar
panels act like a mini power station on your roof. Daylight hits the
panels and produces an electrical current (DC). The current is then
converted or 'inverted' to a lower voltage current (AC) suitable to be
used in the home. The electricity generated then flows through your
generation meter, which records how many units your system has
generated.
All of the electricity produced by your Solar PV system can be used in the home. Any excess energy flows into the national grid. This is shown in more detail below:

The size of the system for any particular property depends on a number of factors.
- The location of your property.
- What direction your roof is facing (ideally South to South east).
- The slope, the actual area and indeed the condition of your roof.
- The possibility of interference due to shading.
- The amount of electricity you would like to produce based on your current usage, although most advisors would say to go for the largest system you can afford because the more units you produce the more feed in tariff you receive.
